More recently, in 2011, Polaris Industries purchased the brand and brought fresh lines and modern engineering to an American classic. On February 2, 2026, Indian Motorcycle separated from Polaris. Now an independent company, it is majority-owned by private equity firm Carolwood LP. 2026 marks 125 years since the founding of this iconic motorcycle brand.
