Technically you may be able to use it longer than a PnP, because of that. I was able to resell mine for a decent price even though it had gone through two kids, so while it is expensive it's easier to resell than a PnP."

"The sleep surface is on the floor so it can't collapse. The legs swing out so it really can't collapse (not without some serious messing with it). It folds out, so the top length wise sides stay open (if you push down it would bend against the hinge. There's velcro under the pad to the bottom of the crib to keep the thing in place (not that we ever used it). Sides are mesh so they can't suffocate. There's a smidge of padding over the "cardboard" bottom but it's more like a"
