"I use my thermoworks smoke to monitor meat and pit temp"
"Thermoworks smoke has no app, I use it for the same reason. It has a second smaller magnetic display to keep inside."
"Thermoworks Smoke (or any of their products). They also have the new RFX which is so durable it can be deep fried and still work."
"Meater and Inkbird will let you down just like the ThermoPro, like everyone else has suggested the way to go is Thermoworks. Signals is a Wi-Fi and bluetooth 4 channel setup on sale for $143 ($95 off) the probes are wired. RFX is their newest setup, has wireless meat probes like meater but unlike meater has a wired ambient probe for accurate"
"Honestly, just get the RFX air probe with the receiver. I almost never need a constant stream of internal temps."
"I've got a Thermoworks Smoke X4, and that's wireless enough for me. It's reliable as hell."
"The Thermoworks Signals is on sale right now for around $150. That's almost half price. I have been using mine for 4-5 years with no issues."
"Based on posts in this sub, both of your options are subpar. Thermoworks or bust."
"I would go with the new RFX from ThermoWorks before any of those other ones."
"I use my thermoworks for instinct read. I use a firebox for 4 probes."

MEATER
4.6
(5)
"MEATER is a good brand, and versatile. I also like that you can buy replacement probes since those will always be the first part that fails with any wireless type thermometer. Personally, I like the MEATER BLOCK cause I can use one of the probes for the ambient smoker temp, then I still have extra probes for the different meats I have smoking at once."
"Got a meater+ last year, and it works great. Not cheap, but well worth it."
"Got a MEATER + and used it for the first time today, it’s pretty nice."
"I just got Meater+ for Xmas but have not used it yet"

"It’s predictive timer has been very reliable in the right circumstances."
"I think it's most similar to the current Maverick ET-706."

"Weber igrill2. Have had mine for awhile. The app is great."
"The cheapest I can personally recommend is the Weber igrill i have never had problems with it only gripe is the wifi connection isn’t very far so you can’t leave the house and get a temp"
